Mini casserole dishes allow chefs to serve their delicacies in a practical yet classy way. Whatever the material (usually enamel porcelain, ceramic and cast iron) mini casserole dishes will allow you to amaze your guests by serving them straight out of the kitchen. This is the cook-and-serve philosophy! We at DishesOnly have compiled a list of the trendiest restaurants that appreciate the cook & serve trend. Give a look at their table setting ideas! It’s an undeniable fact that Rome is a beautiful city. Whether you’re winding your way through the tiny Medieval alleyways of Trastevere, or gazing at the sparkling Tiber from the Ponte Palatino, you’re almost always assured to have an awe-inspiring moment… However, during the summertime, you’re probably sure to experience these moments surrounded by thousands and thousands of map-wielding tourists. As an avid traveller and advocate of “off-the-beaten-path” exploration, I can say without hesitation that the sheer idea of hordes of tourists is enough to send me running for the hills. Quite literally, one saturday a few weeks ago, I did just that. I decided on a whim to take a day trip 2 hours outside of Rome to the beautiful hilltop town of Tarquinia, home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Necropolis of Monterozzi. Not only was the town absolutely breathtaking, I was shocked that I was one of the only tourists in sight! Before I begin discussing my day trip, I thought it would be best to provide you with some background details regarding the Ancient Etruscans, the forefathers of the Ancient Romans. Dating back over 2500 years, their homeland Etruria (now what is modern day Tuscany, Umbria, and Northern Lazio) was one of the most powerful kingdoms in the ancient world. Interestingly enough, they shared a very strong cultural connection with the Ancient Greeks, a notion that is clearly visible in their works of art. Additionally, like the Ancient Egyptians, the Etruscans believed in the concept of the afterlife. As a result, they took much care in constructing elaborate tombs with distinctive wall art. When I...

Today, a new online brand goes live: dishesonly.com. You may say: “well, there are thousands of new brands that sprout up every day.” That’s true! However, dishesonly has some features in contrast to the classic e-commerce biz to which we are all accustomed. First of all, I challenge you to think of another website exclusively dedicated to dishes. We’re talking about dishes of every kind, shape, color, and material. But also dishes that are uniquely designed and versatile enough to present, serve, and even cook foods for all occasions: breakfast, lunch, dinner, happy hour, teatime, parties, formal or informal occasions, and snacks with friends. We will strive to inspire you with new ways to present food, giving you precious recipes suitable to be served in a creative way. We will give you tips to make your guests feel special during evenings spent together. We will also tell the stories of our artists. Yes, because here arises another strong feature of dishesonly. 90% of our products are entirely made or decorated by hand by individual artisans or small businesses. Many of them are one-of-a-kind and limited-edition pieces that stand in bold contrast to the mass-produced items and big brand names that often make our homes all look the same. Love, passion, and hard work are embedded in each product and will add personality and exclusivity on your table. It is very difficult to find two dishes in our collection that are perfectly equal, or without small defects and imperfections that make these objects even more precious. On dishesonly, luxury equals originality. Thanks to a few items of very high quality and harmonious contrasts, we’ve developed a...
